Carmel Civility Foundation, Inc.
National Civility Summit Host Committee Board Member
Project Civility Volunteer
Jeff is a civic leader, storyteller, and visionary behind Project Civility, a national movement rooted in the belief that respect and empathy are not just ideals, but actionable tools for rebuilding trust and unity in our communities. As Founder and CEO of the Carmel Civility Foundation, Inc., he launched Project Civility to address the growing divide in public discourse and to champion civility as a transformative force for change.
A longtime Carmel City Councilor and community advocate, Jeff brings decades of experience in public service, strategic engagement, and grassroots organizing. His leadership has inspired local and national partners to embrace civility not as a weakness, but as a strength—one that fosters authentic dialogue, bridges divides, and empowers communities to move forward together.
Under Jeff’s guidance, Project Civility has grown from a local initiative into a national platform, culminating in the inaugural Project Civility National Summit in Carmel, Indiana. His work is grounded in the belief that every conversation—whether at work, at home, in the community, or online—is an opportunity to model respect, listen deeply, and lead with integrity.
Jeff’s approach blends historical insight, modern relevance, and strategic storytelling to connect people across backgrounds and beliefs. Through education, outreach, and digital engagement, he continues to inspire a culture where civility is not just practiced; it’s projected.
